    Year 1 have been using musical instruments today to play notes along to the pulse and rhythm of the music titled, 'In the Groove'. They also explored another contrasting piece of music from an opera listening out for the different musical instruments and comparing them.

    Today we completed our theme hook with a hunt in the woods. The children needed to find the four countries that make the UK and some pesky hidden dragons. It was lots of fun!

    Our new theme is called Amazing UK- our knowledge theme map can be found on our class page. Our new text in our literacy is, Tell Me a Dragon by Jackie Morris.Some children made dragon eggs in provision to go with this story.

    Happy New Year! We hope you all had a great break. Our new theme is Amazing UK and our theme map can be found on the class page. We will continue to read The Enchanted Wood by Enid Blyton. We will also be reading and using the texts Tell Me a Dragon by Jackie Morris and Beegue by Alexis Deacon. Let's have a great Spring Term!
