The guide will take you through the expectations of the EYFS and how you can support your child’s learning and development. We will follow  the children’s interests as much as possible and our weekly topics will reflect this.

There will be no specific dates for sharing Home Learning – we will share it during Circle Time as and when it comes in!

Little Jesters Preschool is very much part of the wider school.

With its own building, set into the heart of the school, it benefits from the wonderful resources that surrounds it, including the large playing field, natural pond, outdoor swimming pool and mature woods.

The staff are very much part of the school team and work closely with the Reception teacher and other professionals to provide a high quality setting that meets the needs of all children and their families.

The inside learning environment is bright and welcoming with the outside area also providing a range of learning opportunities that can be engaged with by all children at any time during the day.

Our wider school facilities promote high standards whilst being a place where children can be safe and secure as they develop their independence.

The school’s onsite kitchen provides nutritious hot meals each day, which can be purchased by Little Jesters children.

Our aim is that the children in Little Jesters transfer into school with confidence and excitement about the next stage of their learning journey. Little Jesters families will benefit from the excellent wrap-around care currently provided in school.

Wendy MRS CHAPPLE – LITTLE JESTERS’ LEADER
I’m Wendy Chapple and I am the Pre-School leader at Little Jesters. I love working with children and have experience with lots of different age groups. I have a level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education and I am also a qualified Forest School leader. You will often find me outside in my wellies! When I’m not in school, I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog.
Alyson MRS HUNT – LITTLE JESTERS DEPUTY LEADER
I work with children in Little Jesters, supporting them with their first experience of being away from their primary carer, helping them to make friends and enjoy their time at Preschool. Outside of school I am kept busy with three children in secondary school, my husband and our dog with whom I enjoy long country walks, whatever the weather. I have an NVQ level 3 in Childcare.

 MRS TRONIER – EYFS PRACTITIONER

I have a level 3 childcare qualification and have worked in the school in a variety of roles since 2006.  I have had the pleasure of watching the children develop and having fun in their learning and play. I have three children, one who still attends the school, and love having family time at the weekends.
