School Governors

Nath Mr Wolstenholme – Chair of Governors

During my seven years as a Governor at Berkeley Primary School I have built up experience in most aspects of school life which the Governing Body is responsible for. As Chair of Governors I take great pride in representing a very dedicated group of volunteers who make up the Full Governing Body, supporting and assisting the Head teacher and staff to achieve the extremely high expectations and aspirations that we all have for our school. Ultimately the greatest reward is having the privilege of seeing first hand the development, confidence and progress the children make throughout their time here and the great pride they all show in their school.

Mr Heeps – Vice Chair of Governors

I have lived and worked in the Berkeley area all of my life, working at both Berkeley and Oldbury power stations from where I retired 4 years ago. I’m married to Sue we have 2 grown up sons, Tim who lives in the UK and Andy who lives in America, they both attended Berkeley Primary School. I’ve been a governor for 6 years and I enjoy the challenges serving on the finance and premises committee it gives me a great deal of pleasure supporting and assisting the Head teacher and the staff of Berkeley Primary School in their never ending quest to improve standards.

Mrs Palmer – Clerk to the Governors

Mr Camper – Chair of Finance and Resources Committee

My names is Eugene Camper and I am a Community Governor; I also chair the Extended Schools Committee. I worked for 30 years at Berkeley Nuclear Laboratories rising from Technician to Site Manager at our Research Laboratories in Gravesend, Kent. I am keen on supporting the school as part of our community and I want to help to make it the school of choice for all parents and children who are in the catchment area; and perhaps even beyond. I am Chairman of the Berkeley Scout Group, Chair of the Berkeley Parochial Trust and Treasurer to the new community library.

Mrs Cerullo – Community Governor

My husband and I moved from Bristol to Berkeley in 2006 and I became a governor in 2009. I apply my work experience within NHSBT to support the school’s strategic development: to encourage our community’s ‘SUPER’ global citizens. Although demanding and challenging; I find my role incredibly worthwhile and rewarding.

   Mrs Jones – EYFS Governor

Mr Cornelius – Chair of Community and Standards Committee I am the proud father of two girls, both of whom attend the school. I took up the role of Parent Governor 4 years ago because I was really interested in how my girls are educated. It has turned out to be so much more; being involved is very fulfilling. I’m currently the Chair of the Staffing and Curriculum Committee.
Live music and the outdoor life are my interests; I hope the girls will also build a love for them – so they can keep me young!

David Seal Mr Seal – Finance Responsible Governor As a Community Governor at Berkeley Primary School, I believe that the School is an essential part of the town of Berkeley. Myself, my wife and both our children attended Berkeley Primary School, so have experienced first hand the great learning experience and environment the school provides. I aim to support the School, Head Teacher and all levels of staff to continue to provide and further develop the school’s successes and achievements. I work in IT at Barclays Data Centre in Gloucester. I am part of the Finance and Planning Committee – providing support through budget monitoring to ensure Berkeley Primary School has a sound financial standing and providing best value to pupils. I have great pride in the school and the success the school provides to the progress the children make while they are here in their formative years.
