Teaching Staff

Lizzie MRS COBURN (RECEPTION TEACHER, EYFS LEADER)
I came to Berkeley Primary School in 2012 after teaching in Bristol for four years. I love working in such a friendly and special place. I really enjoy teaching children the knowledge and skills they need for a happy and successful future in creative, inclusive and inspiring ways. When I’m not teaching I like to spend time travelling to new places, baking anything with chocolate in it, swimming, reading and enjoying life with my husband Darren, our little girl Sylvie and our lovely friends and family.
Laura MRS BAKER (RECEPTION TEACHER)
I have been teaching for six years and started at Berkeley in 2009. I aim to make learning fun and greatly enjoy what I do. I am very passionate about our environment and I always try to think of meaningful ways to include the outdoors in our learning. My hope was to make Berkeley a Green Flag Eco School, and in October 2013, we did it! I am leader of PSHCE, which includes running our School Council and ensuring that the children have all the tools available to them to become healthy, happy adults. I am happily married and have a gorgeous, smiley baby called Sammy who makes my days happy and fun. Outside of school, I enjoy swimming, walking, days out and pottering in the garden.
Sally MISS BRATT (YEAR 1 TEACHER)
I am very excited to be part of the fantastic Berkeley Primary School team. I am an enthusiastic and bubbly person and hope to put the fun into learning!  I thoroughly enjoy my job, and have a huge passion for helping young children learn.

Alex MISS ROBBINS (DEPUTY HEAD, YEAR 4 TEACHER, LITERACY SUBJECT LEADER)
I have been teaching at Berkeley Primary since 2004 and have taught Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and now Year 4. My ethos in my work is to bring lots of fun into the classroom, to inspire and nurture happy, confident children in their learning. When teaching, everyday’s a new day and I always learn something new!
Sarah MRS FOWKES (YEAR 5 TEACHER/MATHS SUBJECT LEADER)
I made a career change into the wonderful field of Education having worked in Finance in the City of London. Initially I helped in my son’s school and eventually went on to qualify as a teacher in 2011. I have taught in a number of schools and hope to bring this experience into Berkeley to provide fun and inspirational learning. Out of school I enjoy spending time with my 2 children, Sebastian and Jessica, keeping fit and trying new things.
Fiona MISS COSGROVE (YEAR 6 TEACHER/ICT & SCIENCE SUBJECT LEADER/NQT MENTOR)
After completing my PGCE at Oxford Brookes, I started teaching at Berkeley Primary School in September 2009. I have taught in Year 4, Year 5 and now Year 6.  The children here are really happy and enthusiastic and it is great to see them really engaging in their learning.  I am passionate about Science and ICT and hope to inspire children with these subjects. When I am not teaching I enjoy rowing, singing and Tae Kwon Do!
Glenda MRS CURRAN (PPA COVER)

Roz MRS HULL (PPA COVER)
I live in Berkeley with my husband Nick and our four sons – I am very outnumbered as the only female! I grew up in Dursley and as an adult have lived in Leicester, London and Dubai; but I always feel at home when I am back in Berkeley. Before having a family, I taught in a primary school in Stroud and in a large National Curriculum junior school in Dubai. In my spare time I enjoy baking, reading and getting out in the countryside with all the boys.
