WHAT'S COOKING?

We have cause to celebrate, since today is the offical opening of our new school kitchen.

Our long awaited new modern and spacious kitchen will obviously be used by the catering staff to produce hot lunches for both children and staff alike. In addition, children from the Cookery Club and the After School Club are able to use the facilities too.

Stonehouse Court Head Chef, Felix, helped us to celebrate by cooking a delicious chicken soup which was sampled by the children at lunchtime. Mrs Marklove said, "It's better than the stuff you get in a tin!" An obvious hit!

During the afternoon children, parents and staff were treated to a demonstration with the theme, "A Healthy Lunchbox Which My Child Will Eat!" Felix excelled himself by producing crudites, dips, wraps, pittas and a variety of fillings. Ummm!

Come on everyone! Let's start the new year with a healthy start!
